For the basic work-horse mobile, the VX-2100 provides up to 8 channels to work from.

The VX-2200 Series mobiles are designed for reliable business communications in a wide variety of applications with a wide range of operating capability provided by their 25 Watt or high power (50 Watts VHF/45 Watts UHF) output and wide-band coverage (134 – 174MHz / 450 – 512 MHz).

The VX-2200 has 128 channels stored in up to 8 groups.  Each group having it's own alpha tag.  Each channel also has it's own 8 character alpha tag.

25 watt, 128 channel Feature Rich compact mobile. The new VX-2500 Conventional takes the size and power of the popular VX-2000 series mobiles, and adds the features demanded by the Power Users. Features like: Alpha Display, 2-Tone Decode, Emergency Functions, Audio Companding and many more.

Alphanumeric Display
With 128 channels, you need an alpha display. The high intensity backlight makes the 8 character alphanumeric display easy to read even in direct sunlight.
 
DTMF Encode and Decode
The VX-2500 Conventional has a built in DTMF ANI encoder. It also includes a DTMF decoder both for paging and also to show the calling party.

The VX-4100 series mobiles have 50 Watts of power on VHF and 45 Watts of power on UHF.  The channel capacity is a very manageable 8 channels.  The uncluttered front panel and programmable functions make this radio easy to operate.

You will find this radio has many advanced features built in, that are normally found only on higher priced mobiles.

Each Channel and Group can be labeled with up to 12 alphanumeric characters providing a robust display that is still easy to read under demanding situations.

You will find this radio has many advanced features built in, that are normally found only on higher priced mobiles such as; 2-tone Encode and Decode, remote Stun/Kill and audio companding for both narrow and wideband audio.

DB 25 accessory connector
Need to connect an external device for signaling or remote applications? no problem. The (built in) DB 25 connector at the rear of the radio provides every input, output, audio control you'll need. There are also programmable input/output lines to control external devices (lights, sirens, etc.), or to externally control programmable soft-keys like Scan, Monitor, channel change and many more!

Built in Emergency function
This feature is built in and needs no additional options. Controlled by a front panel soft-key, or through the DB 25 (for example, footswitch), the radio will go to a pre-programmed Emergency channel, send an emergency ANI, and transmit back to the base station live audio from the built in front panel mounted microphone element.
